Hi, I hope you can all help me.

I am looking for a phone with good internet access (which will allow me to web browse to a good degree), have a good camera, aswell as video recording capabilities (longer than 10 secs).

Accessibility is also very important. I don't want to be fiddling about for ages trying to work out how this and that works (although I do know there will be a bit of that).

I am looking at a few phones... the P900, the N6260 or the N7610.

Can any of you reccomend any phones which would cater to me?

Thanks

I love my mpx220, BUT if your looking for a phone with a good camera...... ^_^

...the mpx220 isn't it. From what I hear it's still better than the c500, but you should find some uploaded pics to see for yourself. It is definitly not 1.3 MP quality. The sensor in it sucks a**.

I did want the MPX220 but it isn't available in the UK, it does sound like a good phone though.

P900? Well to big and to bad memory cards. Acutlly my Q7070 is allmost better. P900 is more expensive then C500 too..

N7610 got a good camera on 1 MP but the record time is only at 10 mins.. All windows smartphones can record 1000+ hours. I dont know so much about this phone.. I think it is ugly and wierd keyboard set. Plus it just support MMCs. 7610 is more expensive then C500..

N6260, do you like big phones? The only good thing is that this phone got lower price then C500. Still i think Nokia is stupid who thinks MMCs are good.

Not so much info.. If i was you i would get a C500. Symbians age is over.

Those are all SymbianOS based devices and this is a Microsoft-centric forum. You probably won't get many people recommending them here. ^_^

The P900 is a decent PDA/phone but has been superseded by the P910 now though. The P910 is a great, great device. It works well as a phone and comes bundled with software to view/edit Office documents. Internet access is provided through the Opera web-browser. The touchscreen is large and supports 262k colours. It has a camera and it had video recording. The battery life is also superb for such a device - 16 hours of talktime alone! The downside is that it's quite large compared to regular phones.

The Nokia 7610 is, IMO, the best smartphone on the market. The design may not suit everyone's tastes, but I believe that it's better than yet another boring silver flip/dull-coloured candy bar phone. At least the N7610 stands out amongst the crowd! It's got a 1MP camera and there is a video mode. Again, Opera provides the web-browser. It also has a very large and very bright screen - excellent for browsing webpages. The only downside for me is that the video can be a little jerky. Being a SymbianOS/Series 60 phone, it has a very large library of 3rd party software available for it.

The Nokia 6260 is only just being released and early indications aren't good. There's already been reports build quality issues. It's features are pretty much that of the 7610, except that it's camera is only VGA.

If you want a Windows-smartphone then the C500 is the best choice. Motorola seem totally inept when it comes to camera phones and the earlier HTC models look very out of date compared with the C500. It's not perfect (the camera is only VGA and the quality isn't anywhere like that of the N7610) but it's way ahead of the Windows opposition.

Thnaks guys, really good advice. The 7610 seems like the way to go and I am used to Nokia phones, but it's sooo ugly :|

I think it's going to be a toss up between the 7610, C500 and now the s700i which just looks awesome and has great features too.

Cheers!

If you think the 7610 is ugly then you might be interested in the 6670 or 6630. Both should be out by the end of the year and both have 1MP cameras.

It would have to be the C500 for me :D

For video, both the 7610 and the C500 capture at 128 x 96 or 174 x 144. Photo capture of the 7610 is max 1152 x 864 and the C500 is max 640*480 (although the the quality of the C500 photo's are very good). The 7610 has a screen resolution of 176 x 208 and the C500 is slightly better at 176*220.

The 7610 comes with WAP 2.0 browser built in whereas the C500 has both Pocket Internet Explorer and WAP 2.0 browser. You still have the option of purchasing 3rd party internet browsers for both phones.

What I like about the C500 is the speed of the processor - IT FLIES. Just show this phone playing high quality AVI files to a Nokia user and watch their face

TBH it all depends on what you want the phone for but after using many 2G and 3G phones I have to say the MS smartphone has been the most entertaining for me.

Plus MoDaCo rocks ^_^

That is incorrect, the 7610 comes with Opera pre-installed. You also have the option of downloading NetFront for free.

The C500 is indeed fast, but SymbianOS (both Series 60 and UIQ) phones are very capable of decent video playback thanks to software like SmartMovie.

I prefer SymbianOS phones for fun, since there's a much better selection of games and applications, plus the better camera on the 7610. The C500, with it's superb syncing with Outlook, is a great business option though.

Oops, You right. I couldn't see it in the main specifications on the Nokia site but it's mentioned in a another section.

One thing I would have to say against the C500 is that it's not very good for games as the roller is not really designed for gameplay :D Apart from that it's a great phone especially considering it's size.

Best idea is to go into a shop and try out both phones. You will probably end up walking out with one of them ^_^

Cheers but I am going to be buying an unlocked version from eBay due to my foreign journey ^_^

I like the c500 and it's specs, but would rather the s700i duw to it's excellent cam options and swivel top :D

I'ce changed my mind on the s700. It seems I am doing it daily. I now want the 6670 which has all the features of the 7610 (plus a bit more) and looks better. My ideal phone would be the MPX220 but it isn't out yet.
