New Audiovox SMT-5600 Owner

I dumped my Motorola Mpx200 in favor of the SMT-5600 hoping to get better reception. At home, I do not get any better signal than I got with the Mpx200. I searched every menu last night and cannot find a place to set it to use the 850 band. Is there a way?

What is the default? 1900? If so, when and how does it switch to 850?

You don't need to manually choose the 850 band, it does it automatically.
