C500 Will not shut down

My C500 (Orange) will not shut down and I have to remove the battery every time. Is anyone aware off this problem and do you know the cause/have a fix.

not a known bug, its possible the power switch could be faulty, does it switch on ok? contact your network for replacement

The other thing to try first is a hard reset as that is customer

services will normally ask you to do first before retuning the

phone with a possible fault.

More than likely this will fix your problem.

I have been using the power down option from the quick list. If I hold the on/off button it shuts down fine.
