Guest melegaunt Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 Ok, im new here, and ive only had my phone... like a day... So.. heres the question If its possible, is there a way to set a .wma or .mp3 file as a ringtone, and if so, what process do i need to go through to make it happen. I have NO software installed on my phone other then what came with it. As a test file that ive been working with, i have the theme song for Megaman (techno remix) thats 4.4 megs in size. Also, anyone else think i got a good deal? MPx200 for 58 bucks? (including car and wall charger,1 and 2 earpiece headsets and computer link cable)
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 21, 2004 Report Posted October 21, 2004 Welcome to the site ^_^ The mpx200 will only play midi0 and wav files only the ilegal 2003 update enables the use of wma ringtones.

Guest kingraf01 Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 $58???? Thats an awsome deal!! I paid $260 but I still say it's worth every penny. After all I got it way back in April. The 2003 upgrade (illegal? ^_^ ) does allow you to choose a WMA as your regular ringtone, but contacts still would be assigned WAV files for ring tones.

Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 They still have to be the correct format. Not sure on the exact specs as ringtones is one of my weak points
