Guest urdone311 Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 I remember seeing a program that you enter your cell phone plan with how many minutes you have each month, and then it lets you know how many you have used, etc. etc. i can't find it anywhere! any help appreciated, thanks! Joe
Guest nickcornaglia Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 none that I know of for the smartphone but which service are you on? I know AT&T has a service where you can text a number and they will return your usage. Maybe others do as well.
Guest scottb Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 [snip...]I know AT&T has a service where you can text a number and they will return your usage. Maybe others do as well. Verizon Wireless and Cingular also have this service.
Guest Phil Lee Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 On Orange here in the UK the first option on the main CS number (150) is to find out how many minutes you have left on your price plan.
Guest mavisdavis Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 UK Orange netwrok I we Dail 150> option 1 to find out how many minutes we have left. And I currently have 249mins left which gets renewed on the 8th Nov ^_^ I've not done much chatting this month  I have no friends

Guest urdone311 Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 i know there was software for this release about a year ago, it must not have been successful or something. you entered in how many minutes you had each month, and what time your weekends/nights started etc. and it would let you know how many you have used so you could keep track of your usage.
Guest nickcornaglia Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 Posted from my SmartPhone! i looked thru my phone book and called ATT twice and they say they on longer offer this service. I think they never had it and i was thinking of my past experience with verizon. sorry.
Guest gyasih Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 There's one called dashfly Minutes, but it is for Symbia. You can see if anyone ported this. It is a great app, used it on my 6620.
Guest drblow Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 It does seem quite surprising that no one has developed an app for smartphones that does juts count how many call minutes you have used. It could easily be set up to restart counting on a set day of the month. I wonder if that kind of info can be called up by a homescreen plugin ... ?
Guest chucky.egg Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 Nice idea, I'd use it! SMS Counters is the other common request, and that would be *really* useful for me
Guest McHale Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 well, since you are (or are almost) Cingular, try the Cingular way: *MIN# SEND -Mc
Guest crafty Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 urdone311 - sounds like you're talking about twyx's iMeter which was a top notch little app, but unfortunately doen't get on with SP2003 or IA Caller ID ^_^ His site has said that there's an E200 compatible verison coming for ages, but no sign yet.
