How do i get rid of the application lock and how to backup?

For some reason my phone and my pocketPC wont sync the PIM's to my computer..it says its "not installed" using the lastest version of activesync and outloook 2003.

To remove the application lock click on OTA

you will need to unlock via the Orange developers site.

This should not effect suncing though.

but how do i fi my suncing problem, and what backup method do you suggest i use before updating my rom?

I only ever backup my contacts with Outlook most others members

use Sprite Backup available from www.handango.com

As for syncing check your firewall settings and try another USB port. Also you cannot sync the PPC and phone at the same time

If you plug in the phone then the PPC the PPC will not sync. Also

if you then unplug the phone chances are it will not sync again until you reboot your PC.

it says that contacts, tasks..etc are not installed. avantgo and fikle install work

So your phone is actually syncing then.

Sounds like you may need a hard reset as you may have a corruption in the registry.
