Guest Transform Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 Does anyone one know Orange's offical release date of pay as you go on the C500? I keep checking their website because I know that it is available on here and I was just wondering when its released.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 It's been out for ages and can be ordered through the MoDaCo shop. Orange are always a bit slow on updating their own site.
Guest Chaser81 Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 Apparently its now been withdrawn on Pay and Go though, so I heard. Dont know why though.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 I missed that one :? Looks like the only one available is the developers version which is £100 more than the PAYG version ^_^ http://www.smesolutions.co.uk/modaco/orang...m#c500developer
Guest PinkPig Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 It still appears to be in stock at www.lxdirect.com, for about £190.
Guest Confucious Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 Why do you want PAYG when contract is cheaper?
Guest the_ugly_north Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 Why do you want PAYG when contract is cheaper? Maybe they can't pass the credit check?
Guest Confucious Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 Maybe they can't pass the credit check? Hadn't thought of that. it's sad that those who can least vafford it are made to pay more tho' ^_^
Guest the_ugly_north Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 You can say that again.....
Guest Evrae Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 How can you say Orange is cheaper? The cheapest tariff to get it free is over 25quid but thats in the shop
Guest Confucious Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 I paid £80 for the phone and am paying £15/month for 120 mins + 30 texts BUt I got £50 credit on the first bill so total cost for the year = 80+180-50 = £210 which is slightly more than the pAYG cost of the phone but I can't find the thread (I'll search again later) where someone got the phone for free but got half price line rental for (I think) 9 months and it worked out cheaper still. Unless you never acyually use your phone for calls or texts my option still works out cheaper;) (but not, apparently, the cheapest) HTH
