Anywhere to get the original ROM?

I originally got my mpx200 as ATT branded, then unlocked in and moved to T-Mo, and flashed the ROM to the one available at mpx200.org at the time. Everything worked fine. But, I've recenetly been having problems with my phone, so I'm sending it to Motorola for repair.

I was wondering, should I try to flash the ROM back to the ATT ROM in case they check it for warranty reasons? Is that even possible? Can I get the ATT ROM somewhere? Or, do you think it matters at all? They didn't ask me about it on the phone, and... I guess it just depends on the tech guy who is looking at it. Any thoughts?

(The problem is that the phone has started dropping calls. When I have 1 or 2 bars of strength, calls drop after 10 to 30 seconds. Unforturnately, where I live, I only get 1 - 2 bars signal strength. At work, i get 4 bars, and it works fine. T-Mo says that they aren't having any problems, and my other phone, a sony, works fine.)

there isn't a legal 2002 rom availble for download, so your a bit stuck, as the 2003 rom voids the warentty

I don't have a 2003 rom, just the full 2002 rom. The ATT rom was missing some features (like MMS).

The jmms application is copyright protected so unless you bought

a phone that had it installed obtaining a copy is still ilegal and classed as warez.

Asking for this in a post or via PM is not alowed here.

The problem you are experiancing though is more phone related

to the phone build and a replacement is unlikely to improve matters.

Hrmm... but I didn't change the build of the phone in the last month. It worked fine for 10 months, so... if it was a build problem, wouldn't it have been problematic from day 1?

It could be that your network provider could be doing some work

or that they have problems with your local tranmitter.

That's what I thought, but, they say everything is running fine. It's been acting up for a month now.. driving me insane! I'm wondering if some dust could have got in the phone and is messing with some contacts or something? Or maybe some internal part of the phone is damaged?

So, I called Motorola, and they basically signed me up for service. I just have to mail my phone to a repair center in Ft. Worth with some tracking number. So... I wonder if they will even care that the OS has been flashed? This seems to be a hardware problem, so, they might not even look at the OS. And, I assume it is going to some tech guy... so, odds are that they won't even care about the warranty and the OS and stuff.

Chances are they will flash the phone first anyway and as you are sending the phone direct to moto you may be lucky ^_^

well i dont know if they made their own, because the file says jmms but I put a new post for this since this particular post can be left alone for the original question, it contains the italian motorola site link where I have downloaded it from. hopefully im not doing anything illegal and I havent linked the file directly to be on modaco's good side ^_^

maybe this is a new beta version to fix bugs on the previos version of JMMS,

this would help other mpx200 users who lost thier cdrom, hope this would fix all those mms bugs that comes with the original cdrom. as expected, it also does'nt run on WM2003 os. :D

Darn... I thought that at last I could use mms on wm2003... sigh... guess I have to wait forever then...

yup, i guess that WM2003 users would be waiting forever, because Jmms won't be supporting illegaly release WM2003 ROMS. so WM2003 users are pretty much stuck without mms. unless someone comes out with an illegal copy of JMMS program for WM2003(which i think is not much possible).

**maybe were a little off topic here.**
