Guest markhammill Posted October 22, 2004 Report Posted October 22, 2004 Wow, this looks ace Bluetooth RC Ferrari This page has full step by step instructions to adapt any RC vehicle. It also has a link to the source code to get it working. I want one. Maybe I should start setting a pre-soldered kit ^_^
Guest James Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 Nice... But, a Radio Controled car with a 10M range.... :/ no thanks! ^_^
Guest markhammill Posted October 23, 2004 Report Posted October 23, 2004 I could think of some other coo uses though. Maybe fitting it to my car alarm so I can disarm it can start the engine whenever I'm in range.
Guest MECX Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 dude go for the full on james bond control your car with youe smartphone :-D

Maybe fitting it to my car alarm so I can disarm it can start the engine whenever I'm in range. You can get remotes that do that - however i've heard that police jump on people who use them for not having full control of the vehicle they are in charge of!
Guest Chaser81 Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 @Monolithix That would make sense. If you start the engine automatically and the car was left in gear....? Could be a messy end for someone standing in front of the car!
Guest markhammill Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 I think some kits have a setup to install that confirms the car isn't in gear first. Easy on an automatic but a lot of work otherwise. Still sounds fun but I'd need the spare cash for the bluetooth adapter to start with. It's quite pricey.
