MP3 in folders....& Shuffle Mode

if i have the mp3s in separate folders on an sd card can i just play one folder at a time using media player.... so i can put videos in one folder and songs in the other... and also is there some way to have a shuffle mode so it doesn't go in order but goes in a random order while playing
