funny symbols in contacts

I have some funny unside down ? marks beside some of the contacts in my MPX200 running 2003. Anyone else experiencing this? I'd post a screenshot, but I have no idea how. Thanx for any help.................-Curtis.

did you individually input all the contacts on your phone? or did you just transfer it from sim to phone, sometimes it shows funny characters when you have created your contacts on sim from a nokia phone and transfer it to an spv phone.

It's funny you should mention the Nokia thing, coz I did trasnfer my contacts from a Nokia phone. The symbols look like upside down question marks mostly. So, is the best way to fix them to go edit each one manually?

it usually have this characters specially when you use caller groups on your nokia mobile phone, this symbols acts as marker to which group you have assinged your contact. and yup, the easiest way to fix this is to sync your phone to outlook and edit your contacts manually from outlook. ^_^

Yup... I used to have that problem also... and I had to go through ALL of my contacts (close to 1000) and I had to edit them one by one... sigh...
