Guest the_ugly_north Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 Hi, I want to tidy up my start menu and change it so as there are no more than eight items on a page (to save scrolling). It is not the order I am worried about (i.e. use PHM reg edit). I want folder structures. I could do this on the MPx easily but there are many files which I can't move on the C500. I have tried copying them and creating the structure I want. I then try to make the files on the normal StorageWindowsStart Menu hidden by using Smartexplorer but it replies with 'an error occured. unable to set file attribures'. File manager wont even let me see these files (e.g. messaging). Any help please???? I have searched but nothing seems to help. Thanks Sharon PS My activesync keeps switching off after the about 5 mins since the update
Guest Silent3k Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 When you software unlock your SPV you will be able to move the start menu items and with the regedit app you can easily change the order. Greetz Silent
Guest Confucious Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 Could one of you two kind people please explain how to change the order of start menu items? I have the reg editor and unlocked phone. Thanks.
Guest the_ugly_north Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 Umm. I just installed jeyo personal organiser to move items around (it worked fine. For some reason I can now cut and paste all the others which is what I wanted. Excellent!!
Guest Confucious Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 Thanks for that! Jeyo has worked - simple isn't it ^_^
Guest fozzie Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 You should be able to copy or move them wherever you want, using the built-in File Manager (after OTA unlocking).
