Guest JoePro82 Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 I was wondering if anyone has heard of the "Cell Socket" or the "Dock-N-Talk" (see links). What I wanted to know is if anyone has bought either one of these products and uses them with our phones without problems? Neither company will e-mail me back when I approached them with the same question, so I turn to your vast knowledge for help...
Guest squall Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 i will email there press address and ask, but it doesnt mention any smartphone on either site, I doubt this will work im afraid
Guest JoePro82 Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 Yeah it figures... I'm begining to think that this phone was a bad investment (this being the first phone I have ever paid for), but it's the only smartphone AT&T had at the time. Besides, I couldn't beat the $40 pricetag I swindled out of the CustomerCare rep.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 Bad investment? It depends what you are looking for in a phone? If you say what sort of things you would like to do someone may be able to say if it's possible or not. ^_^
Guest JoePro82 Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 The phone itself does all that I need, except for it doesn't have Bluetooth, it's the fact that the USB connector on it is a one-of-a-kind for a cell phone so not very many companies are making compatible accessories for this phone. Also I can't use any aftermarket headset with the phone without it cutting me off during a call, and the one motorola uses just keeps falling out of my ear.

Guest JoePro82 Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 Well mainly the product I mentioned at the beginning of this post. Also if I buy a Bluetooth SD Card, will it work in my phone? Thanks for all the information... I appreciate it!!
Guest otacon Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 Hmm... these phones look interesting... Pity we don't have those in Malaysia...

Thanks for all the information... I appreciate it!! i think bluetooth sd card won't work with mpx200, as it doe'nt have the right software and device drivers to support bluetooth.
Guest otacon Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 I have heard many people talking about bluetooth cards for the mpx200. As what ronny said, the mpx200 just doesn't have the capability to support bluetooth...
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 it's the fact that the USB connector on it is a one-of-a-kind for a cell phone. It's not a one of a kind, it's a mini 5pin USB the C500 also uses this connector.
Guest JoePro82 Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Thanks for the Replies... What kind of accessories can I get with that kind of connector. i.e. A headset, since mine doesn't work; or an adapter so I can use the equipment I previously mentioned in this post. Can you guys give me a couple of websites that carry accessories for the C500, or the Mini-USB connector.
