Can someone run by me how to set up the gprs on a vodafone uk spv phone ive set it up but it says unable to place call so maybe i got it wrong can someone tell me how 2 do it all plz

I just got O2 working on Vodafone in Australia. My billing company had to enable it first and then they put me through to Vodafone and they run me through the setup.

I had to go into Start / Settings / More / Internet Connection

In Menu I had to Add a connection, GPRS connecton and then Add

In GPRS connection I had to give it a name, set it to Connects To internet and then vodafone gave me the name of the Access Point to use.

You'll probably have to call your provider and get some similar settings.

beeen there done that i added a load of settings it still says "unable to place call" i got the settings off a different website could someone tell me settings that they know works exactly plz

Remember that the Access Point Name will be different for contract and pre-paid. If you get the error 'unable to place call' then it's possibly the wrong APN you are using.

Have you tried the settings at the bottom of THIS page ?
