Guest rickyjohn Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 Hello - just a quickie for anyone who may have experienced something similar.... I got a replacement C500 yesterday via Orange Care. My original was black but ne one is silver. As it happens there is a problem with the new phone (screen appears to be flicker, with faint lines accross it - anyone had this by the way???). Anyway, phoned Orange Cust Services about the new problem and they are willing to send another replacement, but when I said I wanted black (like my original), they said they only had silver. I'm not really impressed with this. I have suggested (and Customer Services have said to give it a try) to go to a local Orange shop and ask them to replace my faulty handset with a new (black) one, stating that they can ring Customer Services to prove that they have agreed it is faulty and can be replaced. So.... 1. Anyone had that faint screen flicker? 2. Are they running low on supplies of black C500's? 3. Do you reckon Orange shop will agree to giving me a replacement if they ring Customer Services to confirm? Ta for your help!
Guest PinkPig Posted October 24, 2004 Report Posted October 24, 2004 I'm surprised that you're complaining about getting a Silver C500 - they're supposed to be rare, and only available to premium customers, I wouldn't say it's anything to complain about. As for your questions, I haven't heard of anyone with that problem before, so I guess it's just an unlucky fault. If customer services have said that the Orange shop will give a replacement, they should at least ring to see if you ask them. As for running low on Black C500s, I think I read about someone else on here who got a silver one in replacement - but he was more than pleased to have the more difficult to find version!
Guest alanclose Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 The Silver one is now on the orange website. It still says its for premium plans but it seems to allow you to go through and buy it on any plan
