Guest SMYKUL Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 try holding "down" (on scroller) and pressing 5 or 6, this opens the softkey menus for some reason (post update). lol. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest uzi_999 Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 tried it..dont work.. i think its just specific to ur device mate
Guest Motofone Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 Works on my C500 after update. Also hold up and press 3 you get *. Weird?
Guest scopes64 Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 Nope, didn't work for me either.
Guest SMYKUL Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 This is very strange ^_^ ! it also seems that whilst holding right, 9 and 0 operate the softkeys. p.s. when i press up and 3 it changes the input mode. Sorry, i get what you mean now. Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest Djarid Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 I can confirm all of those on my C500 (with patch)
Guest MaJiK Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 yup - works here too (post update)
Guest Twain Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 not being funny but does this not in some way prove multi press using the d-pad and numberpad :?: because its registering both at the same time. i guess anyway. Just thought is say/ask! ^_^
Guest Twain Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 Actually after thinking about it its not! haha, oh well. not that i really know much about it but its obviously not the same as seing the 2 seperate signals from the 2 keys, its just showing it as something else which is no real use.
Guest peterweg Posted October 25, 2004 Report Posted October 25, 2004 This happens on my C500. It been sending me crazy, I can't use Agile Messengers push-to-talk because of it, pressing the joystick down (Action) starts the voice recording and then immediatly stops it. It would seem that this a is a bug/hardware fault/ design flaw that only applies to some c500's.
Guest Pigo Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 Weird. But I do think this somehow proves multi-press. very weird... but then again the C500 is a weird Phone. Pigo
Guest SMYKUL Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Ive done some experiments with this and it is just adding the values from both keys together(probably at a hardware level  ), with most keys it can find which two you are pressing (because no single key passes that value) but unfortunately with a couple (*, left softkey, right softkey, etc.) two keys pressed at the same time give the same value and there is no workaround, unless you want to stop the keys working individually that is  .

Guest SMYKUL Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 I thought it would apply to all of them post-update as they all had the same hardware(multipress) issue. weird.
Guest peterweg Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 I thought it would apply to all of them post-update as they all had the same hardware(multipress) issue. weird. I think its a manufacturing fault present in a proportion of c500's
