i cant hard reset my C500, help!! its stuck in flight mode

ive tried to hard reset my c500 as its stuck in flight mode!!

ive held down soft 1 and soft 2 but when i press the pwer button, it either switches the phone off or does nothing at all!!

help please!! or has anybody else had this prob with their c500 stuck in flight mode?

to hard reset you need to have the phone turned off, and then perform the holding down soft keys one and two and then the power button

To get out of flight mode on the C500 press the power button once a the top left. Don't keep it pressed down for long, just press it like a normal button. You then get a menu that says Quick List. If flight mode is on, the 2nd option should be Flight mode off.

This, I must admit, is as clear as mud. I searched for ages from the start menu. It would be nice if the quick list was on the start for new users, and if the menus could be altered to tailor the phone to how I want.

Mine sticks on flight mode too. I have tried the flight mode on and off toggle and it doesn't get rid of it. I took it back to Orange where they fiddled around for a bit then said the network settings weren't right. This hasn't fixed it. I don't believe they actually did anything.

It always switches on in flight mode. Switching off and back on a few times eventually clears it. I think I'll get a replacement sent unless anyone knows I am missing something.

this is a known error if there is a sim error remove the sim wipe it down and try agian

it can also be software so try rerunning the latest rom update

Thanks. I was preparing myself to upgrade it this weekend but it hasn't happened again, so I'll wait until it does. The news thread on upgrading rom frightened me to death! :shock:
