Guest bigneeker Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 i am trying to get my phone to vibrate when an appointment comes up. i changed "notification type" in the profile menu to "vibrate and sound" but it only sounds. there is no vibration at all. does anyone know how to fix this. i am using a dopod 565 (htc typhoon) thank you
Guest homer_j_s Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 There is a slight chance it is hardware problem. Does the vibrate work at all? (eg. when receiving a call)
Guest bigneeker Posted October 26, 2004 Report Posted October 26, 2004 yes it works fine, it works with incoming calls and with sms but not with appointments. i really hope its not a hardware problem
Guest bigneeker Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 does anyone know what i can do to fix this? is this a hardware or software problem?
Guest Confucious Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 It can't be hardware as it works for calls, so it has to be software. Take it back to where tyou got it and tell them to fix it ^_^
Guest bigneeker Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 unfortunately i bought it from someone on the forums so i cant really reutrn it. i hope theres some fix. maybe its dopod related. does anyone else who has a dopod 565 have this problem?
Guest bigneeker Posted November 2, 2004 Report Posted November 2, 2004 i found the solution, i realized that you have to set "alarms" to vibrate also. it will vibrate only if you set notification and alarms to vibrate.
