Audiovox 5600 displaying carrier ID instead of name

Hi,

My Audiovox 5600 on AT&T is displaying the ID number instead of Cingular when I roam. My Nokia 6620 displayed Cingular with the same SIM. When I look at the prefered networks I see the ID without a name.

Is there a registry setting for this mapping? I'm guessing it is somewhere on the phone since the Nokia displays correctly with the same SIM.

I get this exact same problem. On the ATT forums, apparently some have it and some dont.

For those who this bothers enough to change it, you can override it in the registry:

Since you are in the registry anyway, you may as well change the activesync name:

I turned the phone on and off, not sure if you need to or not, but it did work.
