Guest David5093 Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 If i-mate realse a public ROM for their SP3 phone will C500 users be able to use this. Im planning to unlock mine for use with O2 and was wandering if this would work and get rid of all the Orange guff Dave
Guest squall Posted October 27, 2004 Report Posted October 27, 2004 It would prob be possible, but would invalidate warrentys etc
Guest Chaser81 Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 waranty smoranty, cool cheers I hope you dont get any problems with it! ^_^
Guest David5093 Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 If it doesn't work you could claim insurance and say you lost it Dave
Guest chucky.egg Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 That would be insurance fraud you're recommending then, yeah?
Guest David5093 Posted October 28, 2004 Report Posted October 28, 2004 thats for the courts to decide Dave
Guest pisquee Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 No, it is a matter of fact, not a matter of opinion that what you are suggesting is insurance fraud, whether anyone is caught/convicted of a crime is a seperate issue. Does it actually say in the warranty that you can't put on a different ROM?
Guest Confucious Posted October 29, 2004 Report Posted October 29, 2004 If there is a problem you could always re-flash with the laest orange ROM then claim.

It wouldn't be a hardware change so i dont know if it would actually void and like the previous post you could always revert back to the original orange ROM
