If i-mate realse a public ROM for their SP3 phone will C500 users be able to use this. Im planning to unlock mine for use with O2 and was wandering if this would work and get rid of all the Orange guff

No, it is a matter of fact, not a matter of opinion that what you are suggesting is insurance fraud, whether anyone is caught/convicted of a crime is a seperate issue.

Does it actually say in the warranty that you can't put on a different ROM?

If there is a problem you could always re-flash with the laest orange ROM then claim.

Yeah thanks for that i thought it was just a bad rumour goin around that something like that was insurance fraud.

It wouldn't be a hardware change so i dont know if it would actually void and like the previous post you could always revert back to the original orange ROM
