i did the orange update a few days ago for the c500.

everything seems to be fine except for the above problem. when i go to the remove programs option in the settings menu it is blank. none of the programs i have installed appear.

has anyone else experienced this problem and can anything be done about it?

is this a known fault and will orange replace my phone?

this is because everything on the phone is removed, including the uninstall info for the programs you had before. But as everything is gone from your phone all that remains of those programs is anything on the memory card, so you can just delete that.

Only way around it is to reinstall the program to the same directory as before, then you can remove it using the remove programs in settings.

But if you dont want the program anymore just clear anything to do with it off the card!

You sure they were all there before? Have you installed any additional apps since the update? Don't forget there is (or was, before the update; don't know if it's still there becuase I haven't updated!) still the bug where the installed apps list shows empty once a certain number of apps has been installed - ~30 ish, IIRC; they can still be uninstalled from ActiveSync though ^_^

Edit: Post above is also true - you weren't clear whether you have re-installed apps since the update or were expecting the previously installed apps to still be there after the update?

Have a look in Storage Windows AppMgr.

How many folders you got in there ?

That's were the uninstall info is kept

ive solved the problem!

uninstalled everything i could see on activesync. after that all the .hme files id installed showed up on remove programs in the settings menu. took off a few of those and then put back on the important programs.

seems to be working now. touch wood.

thanks for all the help.

Just found my Remove Program list empty. The number of Apps is slightly more than 30 tho'.

Just counted in Storage Windows AppMgr and I have 70 Apps and none are showing in the Remove Program list :D
