from a couple of days i have been hearing of this but i dont know what exactly it is and how do we use it...

i am having an imate smartphone 2002 and it gets stuck a couple of times in a day mostly while playing media player can i do anything to prevent it?

1. for instructions on a hard reset click on those words.

2. Your problem may be due installing things to the phone, causing the memory to get low and the phone to slow down, uninstalling/deleting and reinstalling to the sd card may solve this.

i have read that post before but i want to know what exactly is hard reset and what is its benefit and how can i do it for imate smartphone 2002?

A hard reset wipes the phone and reverts it back to it's factory settings. This is a good way of curing registry problems that can occur from time to time due to playing with settings and installing/uninstalling numerous apps etc.

Also the phone does get cluttered with junk and needs a good tidyup once in a while.
