Guest www.dark-e.com Posted October 30, 2004 Report Posted October 30, 2004 I have no idea why yours locks up, but I have been able to play videos fine.
Guest Nice Pants Posted October 31, 2004 Report Posted October 31, 2004 With the newest version of beta player, my phone just scrolls forever if I try to open a file with the Beta Player app. So I associated .mpg files with beta player itself and then I just use file viewer to open it. Kinda a long and tedious way to go, but it works. Andrew
Guest gsr264 Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 Mine does the scoll thig wheather I open the filie within explorer, or betaplayer
Guest sophantim Posted November 11, 2004 Report Posted November 11, 2004 my 220 locks up entirely if i try to open a video clip through betaplayer. same on mine!! i hope sameone can solve this problem soon.
Guest RabanJr Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 It is a funny program that works very well. When it wants to. You first have to get past the hurdle of putting all your songs on the playlist. To do that you will have to go to File>Paylist>File>Add File> then select your files. If you can get through that without it locking up then you are in the pink. When you start up the program you open up the playlist and start from there. Hopefully they will improve on this. I use the unstable version on account that the stable version acts the smae.
Guest RabanJr Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Looks like there will be a test version for the mpx 220 this weekend. READ
Guest RabanJr Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Here is a tip! Do not use the blue enter button to choose from the menu. It is also the default "Play" button. So when you choose something from the menu it will flip out trying to play and open the file at the same time. When choosing from the menu push the corresponding number. This will help help a lot. You still will crash once and a while, but this should help for the most part.
Guest sophantim Posted November 23, 2004 Report Posted November 23, 2004 Thank for the tip! but the only thing that work for me is ( betaplayer 003) http://betaplayer.corecodec.org/.

Guest dchester Posted December 2, 2004 Report Posted December 2, 2004 Lord knows I can't. Picard says hey has no idea why, but my 220 locks up entirely if i try to open a video clip through betaplayer. ANY IDEAS? I was intially using Betaplayer successfully, when I started getting that symptom. For me what seemed to cause it was when I moved an MP3 file from the root directory (on my MiniSD card) to a sub directory. I think Betaplayer was still looking for that MP3 file in the same place (it tries to start up where it left off from). I had to go into File Manager and copying the MP3 back to the root directory, and then I was able to start it again.
Guest Tanko81 Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 Ok, so i just tried downloading Betaplayer from both the links above, and it said that it failed to install because it is not inteded for this device. Sorry, i know its a little off topic, but i thought it would be better to ask here than just create another thread.
Guest onlydarksets Posted December 3, 2004 Report Posted December 3, 2004 Make sure you downloaded the smartphone version.
