Welcome to the site ^_^

You cannot use a standard headset as the MPX200 has a different pinout to normal phones and others by motorola.

Thanks...! I hope to enjoy my new SmartPhone!

On the same subjact... Can I use 2.5mm to 3.5mm adaptor and hear music with regular headset?

As above this is not possible as the pinouts are different, you

would need to change the connectors on the headphones to make this work.

Go to www.blueunplugged.com and put HS525 in the search. You can get a pair of original mpx200 headphones for £7.95

I bought the MPXaa from pc-mobile.net, it works great on my MPx220. It's a 2.5 to 3.5 adapter with a built in microphone. Very cool.

if you look in ebay for

mpx200 and stereo

you are going to find some people who says

2.5mm to 3.5 mm

maybe work  http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=15004&item=5729356423&rd=1

As long as they change the wiring then it would be possible, they do ssay they make a solution for the mpx200

pc-mobile.net are very good, I have tested cables for them before, and they also created a camera extension cable for the SPV after I approached them about making one

OK, I also have a Nokia 6510 which comes with a stereo handsfree kit. It works perfectly with the mpx200. i can talk and listen to mp3 (albeit a little soft).

alternatively, i'm using normal earphones connected through a 2.6mm to 3.5mm converter. it works, but you CANT have the jack inserted entirely into the mpx200's phone jack (get what i mean?). Because if i insert the jack entirely into the mpx200, i get mono, not stereo.

you might wanna give it a try if you already have a pair of good headphones or earphones. the 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter is kinda cheap anyways.

That's because the pinouts are not correct but an interesting work around :?

I just took a walkman headset and cut the plug off. Took the earbud and mic set up that came with the phone and cut the earbuds off of that leaving the mic inline and intact. Then spliced the correct wires together and used a few heat shrink wire sleves.Works awsome, looks great. Note: When you make leads on the wire ends be sure to burn the rubber paint off the wires and use a little sand paper for a good connection. Good Luck, Im Walking
