Hi,

I have a specific caller ID problem, and was wondering if anyone experienced this.

I just got a brand new unlocked C500, and it just works fine.

However, when a call comes in the name is not shown from the phone book, just the incoming number.

The problem is, that I am subscribed to a business package, where all our numbers in the company are as 4 digit extension, we can call each other for free.

So when I dial my friend, I just dial "2100" for example. If I want to dial an external number, I have to dial "0" first.

The bad thing is, that the incoming callers caller ID is also in this format.

So, when an external call comes in, it is shown as "006xxxxx"

The first "0" is the outside call, "06" means its from an another area code (thats the prefix you have to dial here, before you call an another area code)

I store the numbers in my phone book as "+36xxxxx", as when I travel abroad, I can dial the same numbers without any changes.

So, I know, that if I would store the numbers in the "006xxxx" format, my callers names would show, but this would be sucky when I travel abroad, as none of the dialled calls would through like that.

I think this is more like SmartPhone 2003 OS related, and nothing to do with the C500. AM I right?

Is there any way to tweak the registry, to set the prefix, or the ammount of zeros before the numbers?

Am I too confusing here?

Regards,

Bela

Now I just discovered, that if the contacts are in the SIM, then the names are showing, but if they are in the phone only, they are not...

This kinda sucks... ^_^
