SPV C500 alarm tones

Hi all you smartphone Whizz Kids, ^_^ I have just upgraded to the C500, great phone, but I need help with a little problem. The Doctor says there ain't no tablets to help. :cry: When I download ringtones and put them in my sounds file on my phone, I can use them as ringtones but they don't appear in the file for an alarm tone. :cry: Can anyone tell me why this is, and how can I fix it? :?:

What format are the sounds you are trying to use?

I have downloaded tunes in wma format and put them in my sounds folder, I can have them as ringtones but not as alarm tones. I had an E200 previously, and downloaded in the same way as I am on the C500. On the E200 I could set the tunes as alarm tones as well as ringtones. I have even tried deleting sounds in the Windows folder via Smart Explorer, and putting in the new sounds, but still it doesn't work. It driving me mad.

I had the same problem, I got fed up so converted the mp3 I wanted as a notification into WAV format, and then copied them to

StorageApplication DataSounds

They then appear as options for SMS notification, email notification etc in the sounds page.
