Help. C500 Won't boot.

Ok, here's the deal, I go to use my c500 earlier and it's frozen, fair enough, it's somewhat prone to this (though not as bad as my e100). So pull the battery and restart, now it won't get passed the Orange boot screen, what do I do.

I have loads of photos on the phone that I really can't lose, so what are my options?

And yes I know I should have backed them up, but I don't run windows and am too lazy to take it to someone who does.

Did you save the photo's on the actual phone or the SD card ?

Unfortunatly not, I started doing that and have a few on there, but it started coming up 'not enough memory space' despite the card not being full.

Also I don't really want to lose all my numbers etc.

one hard reset later, all gone, but the phone is "working" again.

does anyone know of a smartphone that I can sync with Linux ?

Good luck! I'll be trying it myself if I decide to take the plunge and get the C500. However your report...

...puts me off getting one. I don't expect my phone to crash. How often does this happen and how long does it take to resolve? What are your overall impressions of the C500?

Dave I really think it depends on how one uses it. My experience of the C500 is that it's never crashed on me once. I've been using it solid since it came out.

However, if you do fill up the phone memory to the brink it has been known to be somewhat slow and unstable.

I have a similar problem - odly installed software is the cause. Cant't do a hard reset though - don't know if I'm getting the sequence wrong or what, possibly it hasn't booted far enough for the combo to be enabled. Anyone got any tips or good ideas??? I don't want my phone to be dead anymore.

It all works fine now - so good to have my baby back :lol:/
