Guest duncangoodship Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 is it possible to play ngage games on the c500 has anyone tryed it
Guest shadamehr Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 is it possible to play ngage games on the c500 has anyone tryed it Nope. Because the N-gage uses the Symbian Operating system, whereas the C500 and all other Windows Mobile Smartphones, obviously use, Windows Mobile as the operating system. A bit like trying to run a Linux application on a Windows PC, or a Windows Application on an Apple Mac (and I don't mean a CONVERSION of it - I mean the actual application as it is for that operating system). Hope that makes sense.
Guest uzi_999 Posted November 1, 2004 Report Posted November 1, 2004 or its like putting an x-box disc into a PS2 and hoping for it to work :-)
Guest gravity Posted November 3, 2004 Report Posted November 3, 2004 Kinda like trying to watch a DVD on a VCD player.
Guest jedi-masta Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 maybe someone might wanna think bout a ngage emulator or summat....
Guest mcsquareduk Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 i would imagine the n gage is more powerful than a c500 so theres no chance of an emulator, it'd be like a ps1 emulating an xbox
Guest kurtfhouse Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Na, don't think the ngage or any Nokia peice of crap is more powerful than the C500. SMartphone has some pretty great games you know ^_^
Guest midnight Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 the C500 is easily more powerfull than the NGage ^_^
Guest Dade Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 Better to spend ones time and efforts writing decent original games than a cross platform emulator.
Guest midnight Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 well, ive been reliably told that emulation is approximately 20 clock sycles for every 1 emulated clock cycle, so, with 200mhz the best you can hope to emulate is 20mhz machines.
Guest jedi-masta Posted November 4, 2004 Report Posted November 4, 2004 oh well was worth the try i suppose
Guest gravity Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 It would be easier to make a Series 60 ROM for smartphones. Flash it and you got yourself a S60 smartphone with twice the juice. Ofcourse you'd need to write your own S60 drivers for all the hardware.
