SPV ORANGE E200 TO IMATE O2 SOFTWARE???

Hi all.

Friend bought a SPV E200 off of ebay. Its the orange smartphone,but it as the imate operating software. This was of interest to me,as I too have the orange e200 smartphone but have the usual orange operating software :cry: .

I have an o2 sim card and would love to be able to get rid of all the orange software on my phone. Can I run imate over my phone,if so where would I be able to get the software or download it?

shouldnt be a problem though their is always a risk.. hit search there is many people talking about this in the forums.. all you need to do is download both patches and replace the Update File from the O2 to the Orange one. not hard.

Er..not exactly..

Originally you needed the greek rom and the imate rom. Extract both to separate folders and put the nk.nbf from the imate folder into the greek folder then run it with the phone in bootloader mode and hey presto...it works :D

However, not that have tried this method but if you can get you hands on the imate rom (try looking through old www.msmobilenews.com news articles for this) the is another way...apparently. Extract the rom to a folder and put the file from THIS thread in it then run it...all should be good ^_^

Hi.

Very pleased to hear this can be done. I was sure it was possible after viewing my friend phone. Have trouble find the imate rom though. I did do a search but it just shows me a blank page :cry:

At least I have more of an idea on how to do it,thanks to you :wink:

If anyone else could be of more help I would be very grateful. I'm sure there must be more of us out there who has unlocked their orange e200 and would want to get rid of all the orange software. Just need to find this i-mate rom download. Anyone?? :shock:

BTW, working O2 gprs settings are on page 20 of the gprs repository...use the ones in Mr_End's post but in the proxy setting change the proxy to 193.113.200.195:8080 and it'll all work great :D

Hi nedge2k.

Thanks you for your help on the o2 settings. I have looked just to check before installing all settings that I don't need to upgrade imate. I've looked around but can't find the lastest release. At the moment my phone as radio ver 1.6.00 and Ron update ver 1.10.15.2.

Is this the lastest or is there another one around? Once I know that I have the right up to date software I'll put in all the o2 settings on.
