Is the C500 Orange update worth the effort?

Right all, can you make my mind up on if i should update my SPV C500??

Since I done the 'update' it has made my handset run about 5 - 10 times slower. Don't do it....I wish I did not.

I hadn't had my C500 for long enough to make a meaningful comparison, but I do appreciate the 'flickering games' fix. I'm addicted to Pool Challenge and it was unplayable before.

Otherwise I have no complaints at all with the phone since updating.

Does anyone know if I should update with the UK version while I have a dutch C500? Or would I get trouble with connection settings, etc.

Really want to play those flickery games!

AFAIK You shouldn't (can't?) update a dutch C500 with the UK firmware

As for the update on my phone, it was worth it to get MSN IM working the way it's supposed to (auto-reconnecting after a call)

No drop in speed that I've noticed, and no side effects that i've noticed either

Before I upgraded I thought "it aint badly broken, so should I do this?" but I figured it was worth the risk, and I haven't regretted it at all. I vote "Yes" upgrade!

I'm still post-update and th games flicker is not a problem to me as the only game I found which doesnt work is Toki Tori!

I'm a pretty big gamer and if it disabled keypad multi-press then I'm not updating for a long time.
