After how long of owning a smartphone does someone no longer be classed as a newbie? - ive had mine a month, still trying to figure out how to make a call ^_^

The main question is - is there a explorer program for the SP?

I made a folder in the SD card to put all the .cab files for future use. Is there a way of moving them to the phone to run without the need to be connected to my PC. I recently had to do a hard reboot wile away from home and had no means of reinstalling the software.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

What you need is the excellent Smart Explorer from www.binarys.com

while you are there get Task Manager as well, both are top of my most used apps.

Another thing you can do is have the cabs as read only on the SD card then they will not be deleted after you install the app.

You can then also make an autostart folder for the above apps so theat if you had to do a hard reset on the move the phone will look at

this folder and let you install from the SD without downloading again or haveing to resync your phone to the PC.

how can i make that autostart folder? is it the same as the autorun wherein you need to create the 2577 folder on the SD? that's what i am doing so far. also, if you install using the autorun, the cab will not be erased whether it is read only or not. i think i got that autorun here in modaco.

Yep that's the best way ^_^

The autorun folder should be on your card that came with the phone.
