Guest nigels Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Does anyone know when Orange are going to release this as a download / upgrade for the C500 ? I read somewhere that you will not be able to download this from Microsoft, but the suppliers will release it themselves.
Guest RossDargan Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Please prefix with a question mark! getting my hopes up like that - I dunno!!
Guest dynamo Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 I keep reading all these posts asking about WMP 10 for the C500, what's the anticipation all about?
Guest Confucious Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 WMP10 is far better than WMP9 and I want it. NOW!
Guest travisb Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Perhaps this is what the fuss is about? http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/11/04/na...napster_phones/
Guest PinkPig Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Perhaps this is what the fuss is about? http://www.theregister.co.uk/2004/11/04/napster_phones/ Good reason for fuss indeed. I'd be a subscribed if it (and WMP10) were launched in the UK on the C500.
Guest Confucious Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 I don't want Napster, I just want all the other benefits of WMP10.
Guest nigels Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 so i'll take that as a 'no' then ?!
Guest Confucious Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 You are right. No one seems to know when, or even if, this will be released. Sorry : ( Posted from my SmartPhone!
Guest myjess Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Ahhhh, if you subscribe to a napster like service in the UK if one becomes available, won't that affect the amount of data you download every month, meaning you will have to go for the expensive Orange gprs plan?
Guest Confucious Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Yes, but don't Orange have their own music download software which they want people to use?
Guest PinkPig Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 With all the GPRS costs, I'm sure they wouldn't mind a known brand like Napster entering the market, especially if the C500 (on Orange) remains the only network smartphone available in the UK.
