Car Charger not working?

I've always used a USB cigarette plug and sync and charge cable to

charge my phones now the C500 does not seem to want to charge from

the car or the mains USB plug that I used to use.

I can only charge the phone from the PC or the original mains charger but before the update I could have sworn it used to work in the car :?

Anyone manage to charge from their car? if not I can presume that I

my need a more powerful USB plug as the standard USB charger with

the phone is 1A but the adaptor in the car is only 850mA

OK now for an update,

I have checked my other phones now and getting some strange results,

The MPX200 and E200 both charge in the car but

the SPV and E100 now do not :?

This is strange as I used to charge the E100 in the car :?

Someone has posted the mod you need to do to the cable to make it work (ie connect pins 4 and 5)

The supplied charger fools it into working but it needs a data connection whuich is why the USB cable won't work unless ActiveSync is installed on the computer.

If you do a search I'm sure you will find the threads that discuss what wrks when, why and how.
