C500 wont turn off properly after rom update! HELP!!!

whenever i try turn my c500 off (since the rom update), it goes to the orange screen thing as if to turn off - but then freezes on it. none of the bottons will work; and when you press the off button again, "quick list" appears on the top of sceen - but still with the frozen orange start/end screen.

when i do get it switched of (by removing battery), and switch it on again - it starts up in flight mode for some reason... but non of bottons will respons while its frozen. :oops:

can anyone help!

Not come accross this problem before. Could it be a conflict with some other software you have installed? First thing I'd try is removin the memory card and seeing if that makes any difference.

I have exactly the same problem although it doesnt seem to happen all of the time which leads me to beleive that its software related. To try and rule out any software i closed down all programs with the task manager before switching it off and it still hangs.....

Any help would be most helpful!

confucious: i havent installed any other programs, so dont think thats it... although i have to say - no sooner had i posted this, it seems like its working fine (when it was acting up EVERY time i tried to switch it off). murphy's law, huh!? :lol:

i've switched it off several times with no drama several times in the last little while... but i guess that still dont answer WHY it was doing it in the first place.
