Guest rekall Posted November 5, 2004 Report Posted November 5, 2004 Hi I have just tried to play a music file through the headphones and while this sounds fine I notice that the music also still comes out of the phone speaker albeit at a lower volume - ugh, why the hell would it do this? Anyone suggest anything here? Thanks
Guest Gunslinger Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 Hi. I seem to have the same problem, not found any solutions yet.
Guest NIGHTMARE Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 have you tryed to put the phone on silent, with system sounds on 0?
Guest evans.rhys.gavin Posted November 6, 2004 Report Posted November 6, 2004 i had the exact problem phoned orange care they sent me a new handset it does exactly the same updated to the new rom still does it i dunno maybe its just a common fault it usually sorts itself out if u reset the phone
Guest dazmanultra Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 I had this problem, but it's only when i listen to songs when going through settings > sounds. If i listen to something in media player it's fine.
Guest martin Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 I had this problem and cleared it with a hard reset. I'm sure there will be a fix with settings somewhere but I've never had the problem again so I never looked into it.
Guest rekall Posted November 7, 2004 Report Posted November 7, 2004 Thanks guys I am getting a new handset on Tuesday so will see if this cures the problem.
Guest dazmanultra Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 So you're getting it in media player as well then?
Guest Viama Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 I have had this in media player. A reboot always fixes it.
Guest rekall Posted November 8, 2004 Report Posted November 8, 2004 So you're getting it in media player as well then? Yep
Guest ddocta Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 I have noticed this too. Has anyone found a solution, should I do a hard reset, or do I need a new handset?
Guest rekall Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 I got a new headset and it made no difference
Guest krapooky Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 I had the phone yesterday and found that the headset is not working well. I had to adjust the jack and hold it to some certain position to make it works. However, I found a solution for my case. I don't know if this will fix yours or not. 1. Open the battery cover. 2. Loosen 2 nuts at the both ends of the bottom of the phone. You nee a special screwdriver though. It seems that these nuts have too hard pressure on the jeck. Hope this helps.
Guest ddocta Posted November 22, 2004 Report Posted November 22, 2004 What kind of screwdriver did you use?
