Time resetting after power cycle?

If I pull the battery from my C500 (to remove the minisd card) and then power on the phone, my time resets to July 20th, 12 noon.

Anyone else experience anything similar?

A normal power off doesn't cause this problem.

Doesn't happen on my phone. Presumably there is a backup battery or something and yours is flat. Sounds like a fault with your phone anyway (even if I am wrong with my explanation! )

does not happen on my phone, maybe something to do with how long the battery is out for, i have never taken it out for more than a few mins, i would not be suprised if it has a five min emergancy backup using a capacitor but longer would be hard to achive!
