Is the W/O contract MPX220 Unlocked 4 any SP in the World??

Hi. I want to buy the MPX220 but want to use it outside the US. So is the 499$ version of the phone totally factory unlocked and for use in any GSM service provider in the world?.

If Cingular's policy is to sell unlocked phones (as I read in a thread), what is the difference between the 399$ and 499$ version?.

The difference is contract. If you sign a contract (2yrs I think) you get the $150 subsidy making the phone $350. Without contract it's $499. It is, however, unlocked.
