Sandisk strange happenings!

Hi,

Just bught a new imate SP2 and a new 512MB Kingston SD card. Very strange this are a happening.

With the SD card in I can view any files already put on it either via my old SP1 or card reader. I can even play any MP3 file on the card in the SP2. However i cannot delete or create new files on the SD card whilst it is in the SP2. Or install apps/games to the SD it just hangs.

Works like a dream on my old phone, no worries.

I know the card is good, I know my mobile is good, so what the f*** is it? Would MS do something so dumb arse to cause some SD cards to wokr and other not to when you UPGRADE a handset?

Anyone had this issue? The SD has been formatted in FAT and FAT32.

What card do you have?

As your title states Sandisk and then in the post you mentions Kingston?

First things to check you have not loacked the security switch on the card. Next is to try formatting the card, the best method is to use Task Manager from www.binarys.com for this purpose.

As for card problems, the phone cannot use multilayer cards and only

works correctly with single layer. Sandisk are single layer and any

problems with cards are not MS related but HTC who make the phone.
