NEW PLUGIN : SSS : Start & Stop Sound Plugin 1.1 Updated

Hi,

here is a simple new plugin to play sound when the smartphone start & stop.

Two parametres :

start="..." : Path of start sound

stop="..." : Path of stop sound

to include plugin in homescreen, just include this line :

Included sound are start & stop wav of Win XP.

Included XML is standard windows homescreen.

=> replace a "&" by "and" : it seems that WM don't remove this app cause it replace "&" by "_".

Excellent, I search a plugin like that since I have my smartphone, I found for the start sound but never for the stop, it's amazing.

Hi Sv1000

Didn't seem to want to work in the C500 so I tried to delete it with out success. After much investigation it appears that the & is written as an _ in the file system. If you check in the file manager under windows/Apps you will see the file name as Start & Stop but if you open the file and look at the heading bar you will see that it is Start_Stop. The & is not recognised in the phones code.

I cannot not reinstall or delete this entry from the remove programs list.

Perhaps you have a repair code for this.

Any others with this problem?

Works a treat now, good fix. But stuck with old entry in Remove Programs. Still no damage done and good plug in, glad I could help. Try these sounds.

i think it has nothing to do with the start and stop wavfiles... mines working fine on my qtek rom...

That makes "Ding" only if you don't put Start.wav and Stop.wav in the good directory mentionned in the plugin but nothing to do with a ringtone that makes "Ding".

I installed the plugin and expected everything to be ready to go afterwards.., nothing happends tough, no startup or stopsounds.., What else do I have to do in order to make it work after the installation of the plugin?

You need to use a homescreen with the plugin in the XML...try switching the homescreen to the one installed when you installed the CAB.
