why won't it switch on

help, this morning my phone has been sync'ed to my pc as usual, (for about 3 hours) but has suddenly made "the usual pc cradle connection tune" switched off and wont restart at all. what's going on???

try to remove the battery for 30 seconds, then try to restart your phone again.

thanks for the reply, i have tried this twice and both times it only gets to the second screen before it shuts down again the second time i left it for 10 mins !!!! i wonder if the battery has died a sudden death.
