Guest jscotl Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 My c500 (Orange) flashed up a screen advising that I need to enter an authentication code to accept some device changes. This prompt appeared automatically - I did not receive a msg to open. Anyone have any ideas? - Is this an Orange sent "thing" or someone being a smart ar$e ? James S
Guest chucky.egg Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 I think mouse2mobile is some sort of marketing "group" and they can send out connection settings to use their WAP gateway or something (dunno, I never actually used it) If you don't know what it is about say "no"! But if you've recently been on a website (not necessarily mouse2mobile) and asked for it then say "yes"
Guest jscotl Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 UPDATE I just got through to Orange..... .... Eventually, someone had a vague understanding & confirmed that they are using mouse2mobile for distributing WAP/GPRS etc settings to improve access. Orange have confirmed to me that I should accept this authentication next time it is prompted. :
Guest scottt Posted November 9, 2004 Report Posted November 9, 2004 I got this as well it creates a Orange gprs wap setting in data connections you can go back in and change it to orange csd wap if you need 2
