Hello,

I'm going to use the unlock site this evening to unlock the Orange SPV C500 'have trade it to a P900, I found my p900 a wunderfull device but it was to large to care and handle with.

Now I have 2 questions one.

what's up with the device / app lock and can I get rid of it.

Can I install the retail software and not the orange one. I'm on vodafone and don't like the start up logo with orange in it.

That's all i hope I will join this group often. (I know for sure)

ow yeah, can you use mp3 as ringtone such as the p900? -> nevermind used the help.. you can't :lol:

But i'm going to unlock the phone this evening cause I have vodafone and I'm not subcrybed by orange should that be a problem

no, its not. im german vodafone user too and i unlocked my orange c500 there. maybe try more often, it worked for me the 5th time i tried.

@crafty.... If you get a registry editor you can change the Orange startup screen to anything that you want...

As long as you keep your Pic the same size as the Orange boot one :lol:

PPS The C500 will work a treat on Vodafone.... Wap can be easily set up too and removal of the Orange badge on the handset, is very easy !
