how to disable the rocker button?

Is it me, or anyone else have this annoying complaint about the rocker button on the left of the mpx200? I keep accidentally adjusting the speaker volume! it is too darn wrong to position it like that! aargh...

Is there a way (software?) that DISABLE it when the clamshell is closed? I dont mind losing the ability to mute my incoming calls without opening my flip.

The only way to do this is to lock the keypad rather than just close the phone up.
