Coping Large Files in Windows 2k to Phone

Hi, I have an SPV500

I am trying to copy large (over 100MB) files to my Storage card...

Files about 50Mb go fine, but larger ones keep restarting the transfer, over and over. It never completes...

This happens on my Work & home PC.....

Any Ideas?

active sync times out. Best bet is to get a sd card reader with mini sd card adaptor

it may look like it is restarting, but if you leave it alone it will eventually copy. i had the same problem and watched the transfer 're-start' over and over, but then it stopped and the file was copied. so just leave it alone and let the transfer do its thing, it may take a while and look like its restarting and never going to complete, but it will.

Even so I'd recommend getting a card reader.

For less than £10 they're a great time-saver.

Get them from Amazon or the usual suppliers.

One day you'll want to make a complete copy of the storage card.

You should have got an adaptor with the mini-SD.

had the same problem with my E200 and win2k

got myself a card reader which is much quicker too

didnt need to install anything with it either just plugged it in and use it like a floppy disk (but bigger LOL)

I do actually have a card reader, it's just a ball-ache dismantling the phone to get the card out.... You know every time you do it you slowly wearing all the tight fitting bit down....

Thanks everyone... I'll try the leave it alone technique... but first im off to the registry to look for Active-Stinks settings, maybe I will find something there
