Guest CEO Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 What I'm interested in is: can e200/c500 do as a web cam????? :?:
Guest squall Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 wasnt this question just answered? Its not possible at the minute
Guest NIGHTMARE Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 As far as I am aware mate Must have led to some dought, this could be implememted but would cost so much for phone bills and quality would rubbish. as yet it has not been done.
Guest squall Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 skype said they were thinking of launching for smartphones giving voice calls over the net
Guest phAn Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 I would like my c500 as a USB (maybe BlueTooth?) webcam. Quality would probably not be very good, but still better then nothing. If it can do 320*240 at ~5fps I'm happy. Fun for the occasional waving-at-friends or showing my cute sleeping cat to my girlfriend  Hopefully such an app will be released. I think it should be possible. Perhaps a souped-up version of the Windows Mobile Powertools with a better framerate and a webcam driver. The software on the phone can read the camera's input, it should be possible to transmit it and receive it on a computer. Right?
Guest RossDargan Posted November 16, 2004 Report Posted November 16, 2004 I think this would be possible - try using the Pocket Controller software, and Im sure you can get software that captures your screen and changes it into a 'webcam' - then put your phone in camera mode, and you would have a webcam, prob would work at about 4fps - not sure about with bluetooth? What do you think?
Guest squall Posted November 16, 2004 Report Posted November 16, 2004 i think web cams cost about £10... It may work but just wouldnt be very practical
Guest RossDargan Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 I tried it over bluetooth - only get about max 3fps - not good!
