Guest imatesp3onno Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 How can you change your start menu in Windows Mobile 2003 2nd edition? It is not in the same way as with the older version on a i.e. Qtek 8080. I have an I-mate Sp3
Guest chucky.egg Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Welcome to the site  You can change the links to the applications by going to StorageWindowsStart Menu Most of the links are marked as "system" files so you need to do it from your PC or using the built-in File Explorer Don't forget the Search function! - if you do a search for START MENU (not case sensitive) it currently finds 15 other threads asking basically the same question with the same answer
Guest imatesp3onno Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Thanks, tried the search and did find 412 matches. Probaly a wrong search. I am also looking voor the bStart application, which replaces the standard start menu.
Guest imatesp3onno Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Get the fllowing message when trying to move a link to a different folder: Make sure your mobile deivce has sufficient memory, that the file is not set read only ............. Does this mean that my phone app. locked?
Guest chucky.egg Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Sorry, never heard of bStart... where did you hear about that? As for the second thing... Hmm. Don't know because my phone is always unlocked (it's the first thing I do when I rebuild it!) Did you get this message when you were doing it from the PC?
Guest imatesp3onno Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Yes, but I don't have the problems when doing it from my phone using the internal File Manager (need to uncheck show system files). About the bStart program, I found it on msmobiles.com, http://www.msmobiles.com/news.php/2463.html and this referes to http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php...p=397018#397018 where you can download it.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004  nice one always ends back here in a roundabout way :D Cannot get the app to work though :?
