Guest kandeman Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 Problem solved by replacing oleaut32.dll I found this by accident and it wasn't in any faq so it would be nice if anyone would put this in a faq about activesync problems. Os: Win 98 SE
Guest Confucious Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 As you hadn't said, I made the mistake of assuming (never assume - iyt makes an Ass out of U and me) that you were running XP. I shoud have asked - sorry.
Guest dog Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 Er, I have this problem and am running XP :( It will only sync with inbox (as the calendar and contacts, etc are "not installed".....why? What did I do wrong?)....and for my inbox, it says "attention required". So basically, nothing is synced! I had this problem with my old PC running Win98, but accidently resolved the problem without realising how. Now I am stuck and can't find the solution on this wonderful website. Does anyone have any tips? I suppose it's something blindingly obvious (except to the uninitiated) :? I have also tried to set up my phone to activesync over the air to my Yahoo account? Can I really do this? The phone automatically connected to yahoo to download the settings, but when I try to send/receive, the GPRS connection is dropped and I get an error message. Again, I am struggling here and would really appreciate some help :)
Guest Confucious Posted December 15, 2004 Report Posted December 15, 2004 Have you tried everything on the liknk I pested above?
