Guest DigitalSpectre Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Have a look at the following link: C500 PAYG - £159.99
Guest filao Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 (sob) And I just got mine today on contract ... typical
Guest chucky.egg Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Watch out! "The Shop" will be here any minute saying that this supplier is dodgy, they won't sell in small quantities and, by the way, they have some old E100s for sale is anyone is interested.
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 Easy! Has anyone purchased one from them yet? P
Guest `unreal Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 i just put an order in - i hope they are ok!
Guest Paul [MVP] Posted November 16, 2004 Report Posted November 16, 2004 Let us know when it arrives! P
Guest filao Posted November 16, 2004 Report Posted November 16, 2004 The same company are advertising this on eBay too ... good rating so I reckon it's legit.
Guest `unreal Posted November 16, 2004 Report Posted November 16, 2004 yup i saw that before - he is flogging off around 10 of them (he does the erricson k700i for a good price too) but you have to pay p&p for them lol if u order thru the site, you get free delivery, and i can order through my debit card which i prefer right now
Guest Metoo Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 The eBay deal takes some beating - apparently it has a 1MP camera, radio and a cradle !
Guest calvinmod Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 But it is a PAY AS YOU GO, does that mean you don't have to pay anything unless you use it for dialing someone ? Or is there a fix monthly charge for a mandatory min 6 months. Plse advise, as I want to place an order now also. Thanks.
Guest stevie Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 With these Pay and go c500 can you unlock them and play around with them like a normal contract one? How come they can do them so cheaply? I have the old E100 and i am wanting the new C500. I was looking at them for £250 on ebay and then i saw the one that is offered for £159.... Can someone please tell me what the difference in the models are?
Guest peekie Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Pay as you go means that you pay only when you phone and you have to top up the credit yourself , some operators tell you that you need to make at least 1 call , or sms per 6 months . The phones them selfs are the same and are simlocked until you visit old florin
Guest `unreal Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Well they delivered pretty quick, but no one was in to accept the order   they deliver with royal mail special next day delivery - which is pretty sweet, but the idiots (royal mail ) didnt leave a card or anything saying if they attempted to deliver. I read something on the mobiledealers site that it will only be attempted once, and then the package must be collected :? so wtf....
Guest maxmix Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 Well here is the run down (for my 1st post) :D Mobile dealer will not be beaten on prices (Formally Orangedealer.co.uk) I ordered mine at £160 last week, came Special delivery next day ;) (Found this forum).... Found the IMEI unlock webpage, and got the sugar cube ! Those with C500's will know what I mean :D and my verdict... 110% What a handset... And what have I just got rid of on ebay to finance this  Here ! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=6339637299 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=5724312512 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=6339633385 So I know my phones :D But yes grab a nice little 256MB Mini SD, you will need it... maxmix PS No I don't work for them :-) www.phoneking.co.uk
Guest Confucious Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 Welcome to the forum Maxmix - the only thing I can fault with what you say is...But yes grab a nice little 256MB Mini SD, you will need it... little is the operative word here. my 256Mb card is full (CoPilot takes nearly half of it). Can't wait until 1Gb cards are available at a reasonable price  Enjoy your C500
Guest maxmix Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 Thanks for the welcome 'Confucious' That's why I say 'little' :D I have a PC and Mobile shop here for the last 6 years in Argyll... The best value is at the moment 256's but I reckon the 512's will be down at a good price soon.... 1GB Mmmmmmm nice, Have you noticed any limitations on the C500... The 1st 6600's only supported 128MB MMC's until I reflash them.... Still sluggish (S60 platform) with 256MB.... maxmix PS 7610, 6230, 6260 seem not bad with 256.... and the odd 512....
Guest Confucious Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 No problems with my 256 and no one has reported problems with the 512s. I don't think anyones got a 1gb yet.
Guest tomjleeds Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 Great store. Came within three working days of order (would probably have been sooner had a small amount mysteriously gone missing from my account) via Royal Mail Special Delivery (as someone else said, they didn't leave a card!). It's a contract handset with the contract SIM removed and a PayG one inserted into the package (pre-registered with Orange). How do I know this? It says so on the sticker on the side of the box :D Totally recommended  On a side note, I've ordered a 256MB MiniSD from Ebuyer (most definitely not my favourite place, but by far the cheapest) for £20. 512s are just too expensive to justify right now, but when 1GB Minis appear I'll hopefully grab one of those, assuming they work with the C500.
Guest `unreal Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 heh yea i got mine too, i wont write a long essay but i totally recommend them for their price and service
Guest dearsina Posted November 21, 2004 Report Posted November 21, 2004 I bought one off ebay from these guys, came within a couple of days with RM Special Delivery before 9am. Good stuff. I'm buying another one right now, but this time straight from the shop. sina london
