Guest Grumpz Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 I've got a problem, and I just don't get it. When I connect my C500 i get the message that it's connected and the question that I want a guest partnership. I choose guest because I only want to exchange files like mp3's. But When I press explore in my ActiveSync I see an empty map. I already tried to turn off my Firewall. Didn't work... somebody 's got any idea how I can fix this? Arno

Guest Confucious Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 Does it say Connected and the circle has turned green? When you say you see an empty map do you not see "My Smartphone"?
Guest csd1uk Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Hey, I am having the exact same problem, i have the SPV C500 when i first bought the phone it was fine and worked ok, i have now recently tried to connect it and everythin syncs ok, i click on explore and get a blank window. i am connected directly into the back of my pc running active sync 3.7.1 with windows xp SP2 Any Ideas would be great as this is stressing me out big time.
Guest Confucious Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 What do you get when you double click on "MobileDevice" in My computer (When connected to ActiveSync)?
Guest csd1uk Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 when connected to active sync and i go into my computer and click on mobile device it still displays no folders or anything
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Try another USB port but also reboot your PC and phone. Do you have the latest version of Activsync 3.7.1
Guest Confucious Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 He PM'ed me and we tracked it down to an old installation of Zone Alarm. All working now.
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 Good old firewalls, they are one of the main Activsync problems people have.
Guest csd1uk Posted November 19, 2004 Report Posted November 19, 2004 yeah its all sorted now thanks for your help confucious
