Guest mike_m Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 I've gone an added a new C500 phone to my orange account. It was free and on a good tariff. I went ahead and bought as a new contract rather than pay the £170+ that orange wanted for me to upgrade on my existing phone. So now i have 2 phones.; What is the cheapest orange tariff I can move my "old" phone to until the contract ends and I can cancel next April. The Orange Shop mentioned a "Data Tariff" might exist for only £10 a month. Anyone know if this is true? Thanks Mike
Guest beersoft Posted November 12, 2004 Report Posted November 12, 2004 yep, the dataonly tarrif rocks £10 a month (inc vat) but no free calls/text/anything it can be a bit of a challange getting orange to put the phone on it tho' later Owen
Guest philgriffiths Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 i was planning on doing the myself. cheapest i found was a 15 quid tariff. can't seem to find the data one on the orange website. how do you change to it? just call cust services and ask for it or what?
Guest NIGHTMARE Posted November 13, 2004 Report Posted November 13, 2004 how much free data do you ge with the data only tarrif?
Guest LSmith4285 Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 There is no free data with the data tarriff. It was launched when Orange launched the Nokia Data Card. So basically all you had to do was pay per minute that you used it. However now Orange have canceled the tarriff and its no longer available for new connections or transfers. Existing customers are allowed to remain on the tarriff.
Guest philgriffiths Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 so if it no longer exists which is the cheapest taffif you can switch to?
Guest blackhorse Posted November 14, 2004 Report Posted November 14, 2004 so if it no longer exists which is the cheapest taffif you can switch to? I can confirm HSD tariff at £10 is no longer available to move onto. Next cheapest tariff is EQT-Mob offpeak 750 @ £13.99 per month. (includes 750 off peak mins to Orange and landlines also 50 texts
